Anne Lawson
Anne Lawson served in the RAF for 13 years. After leaving she moved with her husband to the United States. Unfortunately the marriage broke down, and so she decided to return to the UK with her two children.
In order to kickstart her career, Anne wanted to study at University, but didn’t think it would be possible when living on income support and bringing up two boys. That was when she contacted the RAF Benevolent Fund for help.
We agreed to cover the costs of her travel to University, education materials and even clothes for her boys.
Anne said:
“Before the RAFBF came along I was forced to choose between spending my money on food or heat. The RAFBF helped me make my own way out of that awful situation and for that I will always be grateful.”
