Winnifred Paul
Winnifred Paul and her husband, Neville, who served in the RAF during WWII, had been unable to do any DIY at home for many years. Winnifred is disabled and finds walking hard. Neville had Alzheimer’s for many years before he died in 2007.
Repairs went undone for a long time. When Winnifred found her bedroom ceiling soaked by a leaking roof after heavy rain in 2008, she became very anxious because she could not afford to fix the roof or repair the damage.
The Royal British Legion pointed Winnifred in our direction, and we were delighted to be able to send a cheque for £350 towards the repair.
