RAFBF Airshow

The Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre will host the RAF Benevolent Fund Airshow on 1st August 2009. The event, which runs from 10am to 5pm, will see displays from various vintage aircraft including Mustangs, Spitfires, Hurricanes, and the Swift Aerobatic Display Team.

Also featuring on the day will be a taxi run by Lancaster bomber, “Just Jane”, as well as stalls dedicated to RAF Recruitment, Honda, the Red Arrows, classic cars and aviation artists. If that isn’t enough there will also be model aircraft displays, re-enactments, 1940s dancers, and static aircraft to explore.

The event, which this year is supported and covered by FlyPast Magazine, will see all money raised on the day going to the RAF Benevolent Fund and towards the restoration of “Just Jane”.

Did you know: The Lancaster was designed and built by Avro, who also created the famous Vulcan cold war bomber.
