Waddington Air Show
The origins of the RAF Waddington International Air Show can be traced back to the 1970s, when RAF Finningley staged the first Battle of Britain Air Show. It was decided then that all surplus funds generated would be distributed equally between the RAF Benevolent Fund and the RAF Association.
When RAF Finningley closed, RAF Waddington took on the mantle of staging the largest annual RAF Air Show and it was agreed that the beneficiaries would remain as the two premier RAF charities. Since the first RAF Waddington Air Show in 1995 the sum donated to the RAF Benevolent Fund has grown steadily and we have benefited by the grand sum of £986,250.
