101 Squadron
Personnel at RAF Brize Norton raised over £770 on April 1 2009 through a charity gate collection - one of a number of collections held at RAF stations across the country to mark our 90th anniversary. The effort was led by Sergeant Simon Hey, of Brize Norton’s 101 Squadron, pictured here with Cerys Truman, RAFBF Fundraiser for Wales and the West of England.
101 Squadron has nominated the RAF Benevolent Fund as its charity of the year in 2009.
Simon said:
“We’re really pleased to have raised this money for my Squadron’s nominated charity, the RAF Benevolent Fund. We all really got into the collecting on the day and are already cooking up more fundraising plans, to help them celebrate their 90th anniversary in style.”
