Eleven-year-old Freddie Kempton from Drumoig, raised a fantastic £120.56 for the RAF Benevolent Fund, by dressing up as an RAF officer for Halloween and going door to door asking for “trick or treat” donations.

Freddie, whose ambition is to join the RAF as a Typhoon pilot, collected the clothing he needed for his uniform from various air shows across the UK, then wrote the Commanding Officer at RAF Leuchars to ask if he could collect on the base.

Freddie’s father, Alan Kempton, said:

“Freddie really enjoyed planning the collection and putting together his uniform, and arranged everything himself. He decided to raise money for the RAF Benevolent Fund because he wanted to give something back to RAF personnel and their families, who have given so much and made so many sacrifices for their country.”
