Jules Eaton

Jules Eaton, a serviceman from Watchfield, raised over £1,500 for the RAF Benevolent Fund by completing a sponsored trek across the highlands of Scotland – The Great Outdoors Challenge.

Jules was medically evacuated from Kuwait in 2004 with severe damage to his knees. Four operations later, he was determined to challenge his partial disability by taking on the trek, which was roughly 290km long and involved 8,200m of ascent.

Jules decided to make the trip really worthwhile by raising money for the RAFBF and the “Help the Heroes” campaign. Jules said:

“Completing 195 miles on The Great Outdoors Challenge meant a great deal to me.  The knowledge that I was raising over £15 per mile for the RAFBF helped me through the pain barrier more than once.”
