Winston Churchill
Winston Churchill broadcast a special radio appeal on behalf of the RAF Benevolent Fund on Battle of Britain Sunday, 1951.
During the address he called on the British public to recognise the “debt we owe” to the young airmen of the Second World War.
“The RAF Benevolent Fund is part of the conscience of the British Nation,” he said.
