Home Farm Trust Special Donation
On Tuesday, 21st July 2009 Lucille Vaughan and Victoria Pinckney welcomed Sir Robert Wright to The Home Farm Trust’s South Oxfordshire service, based at Milton Heights in Abingdon. The Home Farm Trust (Hft) is a national charity for people with learning disabilities.
During the visit Sir Robert presented a cheque for £145,000 towards Hft’s work with RAF family members, like Lucille and Victoria, who have learning disabilities. Nationwide Hft supports 117 RAF dependants throughout the country and has benefited from the continuous support of the RAFBF over the past 20 years.
Sir Robert said:
“It is a great pleasure to see first-hand the invaluable work the Home Farm Trust does, helping members of the RAF family with learning disabilities. Today’s donation is an important example of how the RAF Benevolent Fund works with other organisations to deliver care where it is needed most among RAF family members, a task central to our role as the RAF’s leading welfare charity.”
