Sir Rob Wright, Controller, RAF Benevolent Fund
Air Marshal Sir Robert Wright was commissioned into the Royal Air Force in 1966. He retired in 2006.
His operational flying background saw him fly the Hunter, Phantom, Buccaneer and Tornado. His Staff tours include working in Operational Requirements in the Ministry of Defence, as a member of the Directing Staff at the RAF Staff College, and as Personal Staff Officer to the Chief of the Air Staff. In September 2002, on promotion to Air Marshal, he took up his last appointment as UK Military Representative to NATO and the European Union.
Sir Robert became Controller of the RAF Benevolent Fund in 2007.
