Air Commodore Stewart and the RAF Cadets 90,000 challenge
We have always enjoyed a huge level of support from the RAF Cadet Force, and our 90th year is no exception. In 2009 cadets from both the Air Training Corps and the Combined Cadet Force have set themselves a fundraising target of £90,000 for the RAF Benevolent Fund. Air Commodore Ian Stewart explains:
“To mark the 90th anniversary of the RAFBF, Air Training Corps squadrons and Combined Cadet Force RAF sections across the country will be helping to raise £90,000 during 2009, £1,000 for each year of the charity’s existence. Now that Air Cadet personnel can be considered for assistance (should the need arise) there is a stronger tie between the two organisations that care for the RAF family. As Commandant of the Air Cadets Organisation, I am delighted to be continuing our strong support for the RAFBF.”
