Photographic Auction

Celebrities and photographers from across the UK donated images to a special event at the RAF Club in Piccadilly on 14th May 2009. The RAFBF Photographic Auction saw images by photographers like Rankin and Tom Stoddart, celebrities like Bryan Adams, international aviation photographers and RAFBF beneficiaries go under the hammer. Also included was a selection of works from the RAF Marham photographic section, donated by Flight Sergeant Graham Spark.

Special visitors on the night included Flight Lieutenant Matt Barker and Flying Officer Tom Saunders, from the RAF Hawk Display team. The team members signed a Berry Vissers photograph of their Hawk (which this year is painted in RAFBF markings) and presented it to Ali Pearce, a keen amateur photographer with Down’s Syndrome. Ali was helped by the RAFBF in 2008 when the charity purchased her a new electric wheelchair, giving her the independence she needs as a photographer.
