Jonathan Haward
Jonathan Haward’s involvement with the RAF Benevolent Fund was triggered by the death of his brother in a Harrier crash, which occurred just after he had taken over as Station Commander at RAF Wittering.
Jonathan said:
“I was simply amazed at the response from the RAFBF and their eagerness to give whatever support they could, especially with the ongoing educational requirements of my nephew and niece.
“I was determined to find a way of giving something back to the charity, and to that end we created a website called friendsandrelations.com. The website celebrates the lives of those who have died and gives people the opportunity to donate money to a favourite cause. We have been able to adapt the site for use by the RAFBF, so that the lives of RAF family members who have died can be celebrated and shared, and donations can be made directly to the charity”.
