Squadron Prints – Gill Howie and Berry Vissers

Squadron Prints Ltd, run by Gill Howie and Berry Vissers, recently produced “Northern Exposure - the RAF at work in Scotland”, a pictorial work about the RAF in twenty-first century Scotland.  All proceeds of the book go to the RAF Benevolent Fund.

Squadron Prints are staunch supporters of the RAFBF due to the assistance Gill’s family received a few years ago. Gill’s dad, a former RAF engineer, sadly contracted Motor Neurone Disease, and finding himself confined to the upstairs of his house, quickly became enveloped by depression.

Within six weeks of discussing her father’s plight we installed a stairlift in Gill’s father’s house, dramatically improving his quality of life.

Gill said:

“No words can express our thanks to the RAFBF for their amazing help and we will continue to support them through as many avenues as we can. “

This year Gill was instrumental in organising the “Heart of Scotland Airshow” in Perth, which raised over £2500 for the RAF Benevolent Fund through ticket sales. Meanwhile, Berry donated several prints to the RAF Benevolent Fund Photographic Auction which was held in May.
